Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Level 2
Adult care workers are frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs, allowing them to achieve their personal goals and to live independently and safely. This role enables adults to have control and choice in their lives.
The apprentice will gain technical knowledge and real practical experience, along with functional and personal skills. These skills are acquired through a mix of workplace learning, formal off-the-job training and academic study at college.
The Care Diploma Level 2 qualification has been designed to support entry to either the adult care or health workforces. The mandatory units cover core competencies, while the optional units allow learners to choose from a variety of specialist areas to tailor the qualification to their needs, interests and to reflect the context of their work.
