    Do you dream of an exciting career as a welder? This qualification will provide you with fundamental knowledge of metal inert gas (MIG) welding, allowing you to gain the basic knowledge needed to operate in the industry.

    Gain practical experience in our cutting-edge welding workshops and learn about welding procedures, equipment, maintenance and health and safety. You will work through five practical tasks and a final knowledge open book test. You will be provided with the relevant safety masks and gloves but will need to provide your own safety boots and overalls.

    Working with cars is a satisfying and well paid career choice if you’re the type of person that enjoys working with their hands. The Level 1 Light Vehicle Study Programme covers some of the basics that you’ll need to know to start your career, including how to identify the equipment, parts and tools that you’ll be using on a regular basis for vehicle maintenance, as well as health and safety for working in a garage. You’ll gain valuable work experience in the automotive industry and build up your wider skills for the workplace with our Employability Skills Passport preparing you for your future role in the sector. This Study Programme leads directly onto the Level 2 Programme to grow your knowledge and enhance your skills. You could also begin an Apprenticeship in the motor trade.

  3. Introduction to Health and Early Years

    The health and social care sector looks after a range of people from the very young to the very old.

    This Level 1 Programme helps you to develop your awareness of the different type of provisions across the sector to help you to choose your path. You’ll study the principles of care, protecting and safeguarding, learn about equality and inclusion as well as studying human physiology and development.

    The main Programme is supported with additional maths, English and employability skills to further develop your own growth. Successful achievement will enable you to move onto the Level 2.

  4. Construction Crafts

    If you’re interested in joining the construction industry, the Level 1 Multi Trade Study Programme can help you to make a decision about which trade is right for you as you experience a range of disciplines from brickwork to joinery. You’ll also learn how to fit skirting boards, architraves and doors, building up your repertoire of skills to prepare you for your role on site. You’ll work to improve your maths and English as well as building up key employability skills to help you find work in a trade. This programme leads to level 2 study in joinery or brickwork, or directly into an exciting and fulfilling career on site by becoming an Apprentice.

  5. Introduction to Hospitality

    The Level 2 Hospitality Study Programme teaches you about cooking & preparing food, along with front of house service for a variety of settings.

    Working with fresh local ingredients in our purpose-built commercial training kitchens and bistro, you’ll learn essential skills for working in the sector, including how to cook and serve food and drinks, and how to work effectively as part of a team.

    You will also have the opportunity to be a part of our themed catering events, which are open to the public and sell out quickly! These events provide an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience of real working environments, dealing with paying customers.

    The course also includes a range of units providing an introductory insight into sections of the hospitality industry, such as; customer care, barista, food preparation techniques, food cooking methods and training and development.

    The Programme includes trips and work experience relevant to the industry, alongside improving your maths, English and employability skills to help you in your future career path.

    From this course, you can move onto a Study Programme in a food industry either at front or back of house or other related subject such as business, or gain work as a trainee or commis chef, waiter, wine waiter, barista or bar person.
