Getting into university without A levels needn’t be difficult if you’re looking for a change of career and want to get into Higher Education to study a health science profession.

The course comprises a variety of study modules including cell biology, human physiology, microbiology, medical physics, chemistry and psychology. These will enable you to gain entry into any healthcare degree courses such as nursing, midwifery, optometry, radiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, audiology and many science degrees such as biology, biomedical science and chemistry. Adult nursing degrees provide a springboard to many other careers.
This Access to Higher Education Diploma qualifies for the Advanced Learner Loan which covers the fees and is not required to be paid back if you obtain the university degree.
Access courses are for adult learners, aged 19 or over, to gain entry into university. The course is structured to enable learners to build up their academic and scientific practical skills, whilst studying subject-specific modules.
Through a variety of methods including course work, practical assessments and reports, portfolios, essays, exams and presentations.
At least GCSE grades 4 (C) in both English and maths, followed by an interview.
The majority of our students progress to university to study healthcare degree courses such as nursing, midwifery, optometry, radiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, audiology and many science degrees such as biology and biomedical science.
