PPE (personal protective equipment) you need
How to assess building structures and fabric and how this determines
Determining the approximate age of buildings
How to create floor plans with dimensions
Understanding of heating and hot water systems
An introduction to renewable technologies and how they impact on EPCs
Discriminating between low energy and high energy lighting
Requirements for photographs and auditing
How to enter data from surveys into the accreditation body’s software
Case studies and the preparation of a portfolio for accreditation
Blended learning over 4 days, first session on campus, second and third
session online and the forth session is on campus
This a Level 3 Qualification (6361-01) awarded by City & Guilds. On
successful completion of the course learner’s will be awarded a Level 3
Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment (6361-01) by City & Guilds.
Adults who are looking for an interesting and rewarding career with flexible working hours. No prior qualifications or experience is required. An interest in energy efficiency and very basic maths is desirable. As a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, you will be helping homeowners reduce their energy costs and their carbon footprint.
To gain PAS 2030:2019 certification, you will need to demonstrate that you are following the PAS 2035 standard. A qualified domestic energy assessor can then become a retrofit assessor move onto qualified Retrofit Coordinator – who can deliver all elements of PAS 2035 (Retrofitting dwellings for improved energy efficiency).
Learner's competence will be assessed by Harrogate's assessor approved by City & Guilds. Learner’s will submit a completed portfolio for the assessment. Assessment is normally completed in one week and learners can receive a qualification certificate in the next 7 days after successful completion of portfolio.
