Principles of Business Administration Level 2

The aim of this qualification is to increase knowledge and awareness of Prevent and safeguarding, including online safety. You will be equipped with a detailed understanding of how to recognise and prevent radicalisation and extremism, the principles of safeguarding, the Prevent duty and its importance, and the importance of online safety and British Values.

We cover the Prevent Duty, understanding why it exists and what roles and responsibilities are in relation to it. They’ll understand the terms ‘radicalisation’, ‘extremism’ and ‘terrorism’, and how to reduce the risk of radicalisation. In the safeguarding module you will identify national policies and local systems that relate to safeguarding, learn how to recognise signs of abuse or potential harm and know how to respond if abuse or harm is disclosed, suspected or alleged. The final unit will explain potential consequences of inappropriate or illegal online activity, how to reduce the risks posed online, and how to spot signs and behavioural changes that could cause concern.

The aim of this qualification is to increase learners’ knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses to enable them to support the development and well-being of infants and children. Fully-funded for the over-19’s, the course offers a great understanding of the policies and procedures relating to unwell children in an early years setting, teaching you ways to minimise cross infection and maintain a safe and hygienic environment for babies and young children. You’ll learn how to provide a safe and healthy environment for babies and young children, how to recognise when a baby or child is unwell, and how to manage acute and chronic health conditions in an early years setting.

Children and Young People’s Mental Health Beginners’ Course

This qualification aims to equip you with a more detailed understanding of mental health conditions that affect children and young people, the legislation and guidance surrounding mental health, risk factors that may affect mental well-being and the impact that mental health concerns may have on young people and others.

You’ll learn about the concept of mental health and how society’s view of mental health has changed over time. You will also cover risk factors that can affect children and young people’s mental health and how these can be mitigated. One unit will look at the behaviours displayed by children and young people that may indicate a mental health concern and another will look at the importance of diagnosis and the reasons why there may be a reluctance to seek a diagnosis. This qualification is for those who want to work in a manufacturing catering environment. It is the most popular food safety qualification accepted by enforcement officers and auditors.

The course gives you a comprehensive grounding in the importance of food safety in manufcaturing, a deep understanding of microbiological, chemical, physical and allergenic hazards, and knowledge about safe working practices

 

The training of food handlers is a legal requirement, and the key to profitability and high standards of food safety is to ensure their competency. Manufacturers must ensure that food handlers receive the appropriate supervision and training in food hygiene, and this course is aimed at satisfying those conditions. Any business licensed to sell alcohol – including small pubs, retailers, large night clubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities – is required by law to have at least one personal licence holder. To become one, an individual should obtain a regulated personal licence holders’ qualification that allows the holder to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol. 

This course gives you that qualifcation. On this one day course, you’ll learn about the main requirements of the Licensing Act 2003, the importance of promoting the licensing objectives and the legal responsibilities of a personal licence holder. Complete it, and you’ll be eligible to apply for a Personal License and work in the food and drink industry.
