Course overview

As an introductory course, this is really designed as a pathway for you to gain an insight into the various industries that sit within the trades. The key skills that are involved in this course will transfer well into a second year of study where you will specialise in a specific skills area. Working with various tools, equipment and materials alongside learning fundamentals of health and safety as well as working with others will give you a great introduction into the trades industry.

  • Entry Requirements
    As an introductory course there are no formal entry requirements but there is an expectation of a great work ethic and a natural inclination to work practically. Any experience in the trades area will be beneficial but equally, those with no experience will be welcomed. A key focus of this programme is to develop employability skills and develop independent thinking skills.
