Skills for independence, cooking, using a budget. Skills for work and
employment including teamwork, leadership skills, independent research skills
using I.T. Decision making and co-operation. Teamwork and problem solving.
The course will consist of project based learning that will integrate
English, Maths and STEM7 skills based on individual areas of interest.
Progress from work related activity into supported internship and then work
experience leading to sustained employment in an area they are interested
in.
What will the student study whilst on the course?
Communication and literacy at individuals level, Numeracy working with money,
time and basic number work to support travelling independently and using a
budget at individuals level. Projects to support the community and environment.
Equality and diversity being part of a diverse community. Safety at home, in the
community and online, safety on transport and at work.
