Course overview

Teaching Assistants help to support the development of learners through individual and small group teaching. Working in primary, secondary, or special schools, and further education, they help to support learners with special educational needs and disabilities, social, emotional and mental health vulnerabilities. Fostering positive learning environments, Teaching Assistants encourage progress and engagement within the classroom. Working collaboratively with teachers, and other educational professionals, they may also communicate with parents, carers and families.
