Course overview

Property Maintenance Operatives carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs across a variety of buildings, including homes, schools, hospitals, and commercial sites. They use core trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating. Operatives work with hand and power tools, ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations. They record and report maintenance digitally, contribute to sustainability goals, and understand the limits of their competence. Working indoors and outdoors, they liaise with colleagues, residents, and professionals.
