There is an expectation of 4 x GCSEs at level 4 - fundamentally, Maths and Physics play an integral part to the learning of this course, you need to be comfortable with data handling and equations. Support will be provided throughout but we would consider a great 4 in Maths the minimum level you should be working at in order to be able to support you achieving the qualification. It is also preferred for you to have a grade 4 in English to support the communication element which is an integral part of the course.
These skills will give you a unique advantage in the market place as the country battles it’s national shortage of qualified electricians. Learn key techniques from trained professionals in a progressive and nurturing environment whereby you are encouraged to be creative and driven to be your best.
The qualification is designed for new entrants to the industry, providing them with the basic skills and experience they need. Learners may also progress from the Level 2 qualifications straight through to Level 3 or gain an apprenticeship.
