Course overview

An intense course that will build your skills, develop your knowledge and grow your confidence whilst working with live electrical circuitry and cabling. You will be trained to work safely and produce results to a high standard - gaining the experience and knowledge to self-test and fault find independently. You will follow briefs to produce practical assessments that will allow you to familiarise yourself with logical problem solving scenarios along with confidently handling power tools.

  • Entry Requirements
    There is an expectation of 4 x GCSEs at level 4 - fundamentally, Maths and Physics play an integral part to the learning of this course, you need to be comfortable with data handling and equations. Support will be provided throughout but we would consider a great 4 in Maths the minimum level you should be working at in order to be able to support you achieving the qualification. It is also preferred for you to have a grade 4 in English to support the communication element which is an integral part of the course.
