Who can apply?

Anyone can apply for Clearing if:

  • You are applying after 5 July 2022
  • You originally missed the UCAS deadline
  • You haven’t accepted an offer from from another university
  • You didn’t meet the conditions of your conditional offer
  • You declined your place using the ‘decline my place’ button in Track
  • You are still searching for a course

How do I apply for Clearing?

Making a Clearing application is simple and fuss-free:

  1. Search our available courses

    Find the right course for you. Remember, you don’t have to stick with your original course or subject choice.

  2. Get in touch

    We recommend that you give us a call before you make your application or register your course on UCAS Track. This is so that we can confirm the course’s details and availability, along with your eligibility. We can also advise you on your student finance options.

    If you already have a UCAS application, you will need to have your Student Number (you can find this in Track) and Personal ID to hand when you call us.

  3. Register your chosen course on UCAS Track

    Once you have spoken to us and had your offer confirmed, you can add your Clearing choice into Track using the details we have provided you with.

    To do this:

    • In UCAS, click ‘Add Clearing Choice’ and fill in the course details by the deadline date you were told on the phone.
    • You have now accepted your UCL offer and can relax whilst we confirm your place on our system. Once we have done this, your offer will show as an acceptance in the ‘Choices’ page on Track.

I don’t have a UCAS application, can I still apply?

Absolutely! You can apply to us directly using our application form, which will become available once Clearing opens on 5 July 2022. Simply follow steps one and two in our Clearing process, then complete and submit your application.
