Nicola Mulholland

    Nicola took the long route into Maths, via jobs at Sainsburys and as a travel rep in Thomas Cook. A firm believer in it being absolutely okay to not know exactly where you’re headed, her favourite part of the job is the ‘magic moment’ when something just clicks.

Annabel Bailey

  • Bio:

    Annabel has worked all over. London Fashion Week, Holby City, Hollyoaks, BBC Antiques Roadshow. She also has her own MUA business. Her favourite part of the course is the trip to the Prosthetics convention in Birmingham and collaborating with other departments for shows.

Jason Parry

  • Bio:

    After working as general manager of a whole slew of high street venues including bars, eateries and even a coffee house, Jason wanted a bite of something more rewarding. Passionate about the opportunities a non-traditional route into FE gives, he’s a big fan of students developing their professional career be it in an apprenticeship, employment or further study.

    What Denise doesn’t know about hairdressing isn’t worth knowing. With over 20 years’ experience working across local salons – and having completed training at Toni & Guy and Sassoon – who better to teach you about colour and cuts?

Anna Crosland

  • Bio:

    Anna has really inspired us by writing the Level 1 Everyday Maths courses for Open Learn, which was used on the lockdown skills toolkit. She’s all about giving back, having previously acted as a teaching and learning mentor, and loves helping students plan their future pathways.

Marie Doney

    Before joining us in 2010, Marie was busy solving problems as a quantity surveyor in civil engineering. These days, she’s more at home helping students grasp ideas they didn’t understand before. If she was a student herself, she’d love to do joinery as the “workshop smells really nice”!

Amanda Rushworth

    Amanda has been with Harrogate College for just over 20 years – and welcomed a whole host of international students in that time. She provides supportive classes great for socialising, and is all about inclusivity. Away from the college, she’s a green-fingered gardener who loves spending time on her allotment.
