It’s Clean is a customer focused and independent privately-owned commercial office cleaning company. Our professional cleaners undertake cleaning contracts around Harrogate, Leeds, York, Ripon, and Yorkshire. All of our quality local cleaners are recruited, trained and matched to our cleaning contracts, each of which is managed by one of our regional cleaning supervisors. We have been operating since 1999 and we have cleaning contracts with commercial offices, building sites, care homes, dental practices, event and exhibition venues, GP surgeries, housing associations, landlords, retail shops and showrooms, schools, colleges, universities, factories, warehouses and many more besides.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Your role is to support the General Manager and Operations Manager(s) with all administrative duties. To assist in ensuring all aspects of customer, employee and supplier management are of the highest quality. Provide administrative support to the It’s Clean Team.

  • Recruitment of new employees, including:
    o   liaising with Operations manager re: areas and positions required
    o   advertising
    o   telephone interviews
  • Adding new employees on to system.
  • Management of the NEST pension scheme where required.
  • DBS Control including processing new applications, maintaining the lists and sending out to the relevant customers.
  • ID cards for cleaning staff.
  • Assist with monitoring and recording of holiday / sick cover for the Operations Manager.
  • Processing new starters and leavers.
  • Monthly expenses forms.
  • Assist in the supervision, learning and development of the Cleaning Operatives and support It’s Clean with its corporate cleaning policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Witness follow up discussions, disciplinary meetings, grievance hearings with employees.
  • Issuing of employee contracts, paperwork and keeping contact details relevant and up to date.
  • To liaise closely with key Its Clean Staff, Customers, Suppliers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Complete customer complaint forms and spreadsheets.
  • Create quotations and supporting documents for prospective customers.
  • Creating new customer files (physical and electronic) and black folders.
  • Completing audit paperwork.
  • Customer communication emails.
  • Checking and inputting supplier invoices
  • Other sales ledger and purchase ledger admin

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
  • The Apprenticeship will be work based, I.E. the assessor will come to you in the workplace and assign tasks, observe practice in the workplace, but you will come into college 1 day per month.
