Course overview

At level 3 there is an expectation that you will develop your skills to the next level, taking the lead in your own learning. You will be guided by industry professionals and have the opportunity to practice on your own models within the industry standard salon. You will build on skills that you acquired during the level 2 qualification and practise to develop your practice so that you are able to not only cut, style and colour but also correct and train hair so that you can work towards developing your own long term client base.

  • Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, successful completion of Hairdressing Level 2 and regular work experience within a hair salon.
  • Benefits/Skills
You’ll study advanced cutting, colouring and styling techniques. Additionally, you’ll also improve your employability skills for the industry and wider sectors. As a level 3 qualification there are elements where you will look at Hairdressing as a commercial business and elements associated with that, such as self-employment, product selection and waste control.
