What courses can I study?
What are foundation degrees?

Foundation degrees provide you with the academic and technical knowledge to launch a career and allow you to fit your studies around work, childcare or other commitments. They’re also ideal if you want to bridge the gap from college to university, or are planning to return to higher education but don’t want to study a full degree.
Can I study full or part-time?
It’s completely up to you. Most of our new courses offer a part-time option to help you fit studying around your lifestyle. You can find the study type for each course below.
How long will I study for?
Study lengths will vary for each course and whether you choose to be a full or part-time student. The study duration for each course is:
- Art & Design Foundation Year – Full-Time (1 year)
- Art Foundation Degree – Full-Time (2 years)
- Art Foundation Degree – Part-Time (3 years)
- Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Foundation Degree – Full Time (2 years)
- Game Development Foundation Degree – Full-Time (2 years)
- Game Development Foundation Degree – Part-Time (4 years)
- Graphic Design and Illustration Foundation Degree – Full-Time (2 years)
- Leadership and Management Foundation Degree – Full-Time (2 years)
- Leadership and Management Foundation Degree – Part-Time (2 years)
- Creative Practice Master’s Degree – Full-Time (1 year)
- Creative Practice Master’s Degree – Part-Time (2 years)
You also have the choice to study a ‘top-up degree’ when your course finishes. This will amount to a full honours degree (when combined with your foundation degree).
